beach musings

My best thinking comes when I'm walking and my best walking comes when I'm by the ocean. These two weeks I am at the coast of Maine, working on curriculum, interpreting new state tech standards, and walking - and thinking - a lot.

I've been blogging to Techjaki for a little over two years now. My postings have mainly been annotations to websites that I thought teachers might find useful. Here and there, I've thrown in references to up-and-coming technologies. Posted some projects we've been doing. Mentioned curricular references. Everything has been safe and static. Sort of vanilla.

I haven't really given you much to think about - only stuff to look at and replicate. To let you think that this is what blogging is all about is probably a disservice to bloggers everywhere. Blogs are about opinion, conversation, and ideas.

With this in mind, I'm retiring Techjaki. Oh, it'll still be here if you need to reference it. But, as I walk, I'm thinking I'm going to christen a new blog, hopefully one with a different flavor. Not vanilla. Rocky Road, perhaps.

Stay tuned.
